About

Rob Ferrin, one of the owner of Ferrin Brothers Air Conditioning, Inc.,recently made the following bold statement about his company:

“I firmly believe we are the best A/C company out there, and no one can take care of customers as well as we can. Most of our business over the last 34 years has been by word of mouth, and customer retention is outstanding, because our customers know they can trust us.”

There are FIVE very important words which describe Rob and his company, Ferrin Brothers Air Conditioning, Inc.: 1) Integrity, 2) Honesty, 3) Experience, 4) Diligence, and 5) Goodwill. These words make up our values and principles, and they are the very core of our long running success. Since we began in 1977, we have never had to spend large amounts of money on advertising, because our customers sense and appreciate our sound moral core. They quickly transition from customer to friend. For thousands of these happy clients, we have literally become the”friend” they know and refer to others; the friend who will give them some honest advice and a trustworthy quote to repair or replace their air conditioning system. Our business has grown and thrived through economic highs and lows, because our business comes from referrals; by word of mouth from our friends – our clients.

Hopefully, as you read on, you will receive the information you need to feel comfortable allowing us to come to your home or business and prove to you that we are who we claim to be – the best air conditioning company in Arizona.

Integrity

Integrity [in-teg-ri-tee] – 1. Adherence to moral and ethical principles; soundness of moral character; honesty. 2. The quality of being unimpaired; soundness.  3. Unity; wholeness.

When brothers, Larry and Doug Ferrin, started Ferrin Brothers Air Conditioning, Inc.in 1977, they decided from the beginning that more importantly than making money was being ethical and honest in every way.  Larry passed these beliefs down to his son Rob when he retired, and Rob took over in 1996.  As a family-owned and operated business, our values run deep.  Whether it is climbing in your attic and checking your A/C unit, or doing payroll taxes in the office, all who work for Ferrin Brothers Air Conditioning know that our legacy of integrity comes first – above all else.

Integrity has to do with what a person or a company is made of on the inside.  It is how a person or a technician acts when no one else is looking, and we pride ourselves on being made of and founded upon sound moral character and sound ethical principles.

Honesty

Honesty [on-uh-stee] – 1. The quality or fact of being honest; uprightness and fairness.  2. Truthfulness, sincerity, or frankness.  3. Freedom from deceit or fraud.

Spencer Johnson once said, “Integrity is telling myself the truth, and honesty is telling the truth to other people.”  Therefore, integrity’s twin brother is honesty.  Unfortunately, there are many companies (and especially some of the larger ones) who will promote a “free”, or a cheap air conditioning tune-up or check-up.  Because professional high-pressure salesmen are sent out by those companies to the customer’s home or business, most customers end up spending around $300 on their “tune up”, because they were sold parts that they don’t truly need.  Next, they find that the technicians take short cuts and end up giving them the cheapest replacement parts available.

Our philosophy (derived from a quote from Marcus Aurelius) is simple: “If it is not right, do not do it; if it is not true, do not say it.”  This is the basis on which we hire and train employees, and this is the basis for everything we will do for you.  We firmly believe that, in the end, our incredible success has come in large part from our honesty.

Experience

Experience[ik-speer-ee-uhns] – 1. Directly participating, encountering, undergoing, or observing something; actual knowledge or contact as it has occurred in the course of time. 2. accumulated knowledge, especially of practical matters.

Over the course of the last 34 years of business, we have encountered almost everything.  From residential homes to apartment buildings, and from schools to large businesses, we are confident that there is no air conditioning or heating problem we cannot fix.

Most of us have, at one time or another, made the mistake of hiring an inexperienced contractor, because his or her price was the lowest.  When it comes to air conditioning, this mistake could cost you thousands of dollars.  With all of the construction companies that have gone out of business, and all of the ones currently coming and going like the wind, it is more important than ever to make sure you choose a company with a long and credible track record.  Ferrin Brothers has a long and perfect history with the Arizona Registrar of Contractors, and you can feel confident knowing that our master technicians have been tested and proven for years.  They stay with us because our vision has become theirs, and they have become part of the Ferrin family.  Experience has taught us that we should always use the highest quality products, and that we should always put the needs of our customers first.  Fortunately, because we have been in business for so long, and because we do so much work in Arizona, we almost always have the best price as well.

Diligence

Diligence[dil-i-juhns] – constant and earnest effort to accomplish whatever is undertaken; persistent exertion of body or mind.

Two words, which are more commonly used as a synonym for diligence, are “hard work”.  We know that one quality which sets us apart from our competitors is our diligent attitude to complete the job at hand in a timely manner – working hard to get it right as quickly as possible.  Many companies out there will show up to give you the quote and start your job, and then once they get a down payment or a signed contract, you don’t see them for weeks.  We have such great word of mouth business in large part due to our diligence in completing each job when we say we will, and working hard to never break a promise.

Thomas Jefferson said,

“I’m a great believer in luck and I find the harder I work, the more I have of it.”  Our hard work is definitely a major factor in our long track record of success as a business. It is said that Thomas Edison failed over a thousand times when he was trying to create the first light bulb capable of being mass produced.  He almost lost his home and everything he had, because he diligently kept fighting for what he believed in.  He said, “There is no substitute for hard work.”

Goodwill

Goodwill [good-wil] – 1. friendly disposition; kindness, 2. cheerful acquiescence, 3. an intangible, salable asset arising from the reputation of a business and its relations with its customers, distinct from the value of its tangible assets.
As stated above, we want to be your A/C guys for life.  We want to become your friends.  You will come to know all about this intangible asset as you meet with our technicians and get to know the owners as well.  There are few companies out there who are willing to allow you to speak directly to the owners of the company, but we want you to meet all of the key people in our business, so that you can feel of our goodwill and know that we will take care of your needs.  We are not committed solely to making money; we are committed to making a difference in the community.  By treating everyone the way we would want to be treated, we hope to set an example to other businesses around the state.  We feel that kindness is contagious, and because we are so happy about what we do, we want to share that joy with others. Hopefully after reading “about us” you can already begin to sense that we are not your average contractor.  Please give us a call when you need some honest advice about your air conditioning.
